The Road Safety Department have provided the following information.
The offence data provided for Q1 relates to the number of Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIP’s) issued by the Central Ticket Office following an automatic camera activation by Fixed Cameras, Average Speed Cameras and Mobile Speed Cameras which result in the following outcomes: EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.
The figures do not include cancelled offences.
The data shown for Q2 relates only to Fixed Cameras and therefore the figures do not include Average Speed Camera data.
1) The total number of Notice of Intended Prosecutions (“NIPs”) for speeding offences issued in the calendar year 2024, broken down by speed limit. Please include all NIPs, regardless of how generated.
