The Performance Analysis Department has provided the following information:

Please provide the number of arrests made for the following offences:

1) Abscond from detention under s.40(7)(c) – Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006
and

One arrest was located which occurred in 2024-25.

2)  Abscond from a designated immigration officer having been detained under section 2 - UK Borders Act 2007
for each of the following financial years
•           1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023
•           1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024
•           1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025
If available, please present the data as a simple count of arrests for each year. If no arrests were recorded in any of the above years, please confirm this.

Searches were conducted within the Business Objects and within the Home Office lookup spreadsheet. No relevant information could be found in relation to question 2. This part of your request is, therefore, a Nil return.
