Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request ref: 01/FIN/25/3652

For Q2 we have extracted the property fields of the 5319 bike theft occurrences and filtered to only show property that has the field “Bike type” populated. From there I filtered on the link classification to shown only found and recovered bikes. The table below shows all recovered bikes.

Please Note, These property fields are not mandatory, so this data relies on these fields being populated,
The only way to have definitive data on recovered bikes would be a manual review of each of the 5319 occurrences, which would exceed the appropriate limit under Section 12 of the FOI Act.
3 - How many arrests/convictions have there been relating to the stolen bikes? Please provide the response for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 (to date)? Please provide the quantity per year. That’s each year running from January to December, if possible. If you work in financial year’s instead of calendar years, please indicate.
For Q3 we have filtered the data used for Q1 to show outcomes of Charge, alternate charge, summons and alternate summons.
