The Finance Department have provided the following information.
Recently, Dorset Police published a social media video featuring two new coastal police boats. I would like to request a breakdown of the total cost incurred by Dorset Police in the production of this video.

This video was filmed and produced using in-house resources and equipment.
Equipment hire or purchase
We are unable to provide a cost for equipment used as the assets are owned by the force and we do not record data on cost per time used.

The Hourly cost is using the middle scale of the grade to work out the cost as an average for that position.
The cost of the internal Media and Communications staff, based on time worked is £957.06

This video was filmed and produced using in-house resources and equipment.
Location and travel expenses
Members of the Corporate Communications and Engagement Department joined officers from our Force Support Group as part of their normal rostered duty shift and gathered content for the video while they carried out various activities to test the capabilities of the vessels.
We do not hold records for any travelling expenses.
Any associated promotional or advertising costs, including social media costs
There were no associated advertising or social media costs for the video.
Please also note that the footage that was obtained will be used operationally in the future for other occasions and not exclusively for the video on social media.
