Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request ref: 01/FIN/25/3650
Version Date: 19/09/2025
The Performance Analysis Department has provided the following information.
Data Source:
Niche crime information system
Data Processing:
Search for all occurrences which had the Domestic Abuse (ACPO) Crime Flag and the Cyber Crime Flag.
To get the arrested and charged information, I linked the occurrences from part one into a query with the ‘arrested’ filter for a, and the ‘latest stats class status is ‘charged’’ filter and the Person Link Involvement as ‘Charged’ for part b.
Caveat/Data Limitations:
Data is dependent on the correct and accurate use of flags and flagging of crimes may not always be accurate. To manually review all the data and check for accuracy would take this request over the 18-hour fee limit.
The number of crimes recorded considered to be digital domestic abuse within, for example, this framework: https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/daa/domestic-abuse/digital-domestic-abuse/
