For each of the last five years including this year so far, how many people arrested on suspicion of entering the UK illegally were released on bail?
For each of the last five years including this year so far, how many people arrested on suspicion of entering the UK illegally failed to answer bail?
Nil return for questions 2 and 3.
Please note that the primary agency for dealing with persons who have entered the UK illegally is Border Force and their data maybe more reflective of the accurate figures. There are occasions when the Police may make arrests in specific circumstance or would be acting on the behalf of Border Force and would assist in transporting suspects to immigration centres, therefore, this wouldn’t be recorded as police bail.
