The Performance Analysis Department has provided the following information:

Please see the below table. This data runs from 21/05/2015 until 15/10/2025. Data prior to this is not held.

Performance Analysis have used keywords to exclude false positives, such as ‘lamb shoulder’, ‘lamb steak’ amongst others, then manually reviewed the raw data to remove the remaining false positives. They have split the table below by number of incidents by species, rather than the number of animals which is not routinely recorded.

Number of incidents of thefts of livestock in the county broken down by species, year on year from 2000 to 2025, specifically Sheep/Lambs and Pigs.

Clarification: Sorry for the lack of detail. Search terms would be Sheep of any sex or age, and pigs of any sex or age. Pigs, Piglets
