To obtain the data searches were completed on Niche for arrests made with the following offence CJS codes. These codes have been obtained online as offences are not recorded within our systems by their Acts.

Caveats/Limitations
Data relies on Offences being correctly recorded on Custody Records.

Please note, some of the records have two offences assigned to them so on occasion have been counted in both tables.

Number of arrests made under section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 and Section 1 of the Malicious Communications Act 1988. I would like the data in calendar years from 2015 until 2025.
