The Performance Analysis Department have provided the following information.
Performance Analysis downloaded all data via the crime Niche database on Business Objects.
The main crime group was then filtered to show just thefts and within the free text for
the occurrence summary and we searched against ‘parcel theft’, ‘parcel stolen’,
‘parcel’ and ‘parcels’
Q4 has been calculated from the Occurrence Start Time, not Reported Time
Q1 How many instances of parcel theft (i.e. parcels stolen from somebody's doorstep, or other cases where thieves steal a package, for example by impersonating a delivery person or homeowner) were reported between 01/08/2024 and 31/07/2025?
Q2 If possible, please can you provide a monthly break down of the number of reported instances of parcel theft (i.e. parcels stolen from somebody's doorstep, or other cases where thieves steal a package, for example by impersonating a delivery person or homeowner) within the date range provided in question one. Or, if this is not possible, any data that would make it possible to calculate this?

For the 19 occurrences where a value is recorded, the total is £16,307.44
