The Estates Department has provided the following information.
Please could you provide the following information for each calendar year since 2015 (or the most recent year for which data is available):
1. The number of operational police stations or front counters at the end of each year - please provide for the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 YTD.

- Of the police stations that are no longer operational and that your force has closed down, why were they closed (eg. financial issues, no longer deemed necessary)
Data is not held for each specific counter, but as of 2012, all stations fall into the national directive for Forces to review their Counter Enquiry Office Service provision. Footfall activity, funding restraints and staffing availability are all taken into account when deciding to close a front counter.
