This freedom of information request relates to Record of Taped Interview (ROTI) and Record of Video Interview (ROVI) transcripts of police-suspect interviews.
1. How many ROTI/ROVI transcribers are currently employed by your police force?

Employed by Dorset Police.
They are introduced to different types of transcription and Summary ROTI/ROVI in a step-by-step process by experienced Interview Summarising Team staff and supervisor.
Interview Summarising Team provide support for transcripts and summaries (ROTI/ROVIS) throughout the investigative process. They support mainly Crown Court trial matters as their normal work. But they support officers through investigations and some of these will end up as Magistrate Trials.
