The Alliance Resourcing & Development Department have provided the following information.

Please note that the below data is correct as at 30th April 2025 when the Design Check was run. This is the most up to date and accurate data we have recorded that is closest to the date requested.

Please provide the following information as at 6 April 2025:

•           The number of full time equivalent (a) financial investigators and (b) financial analysts employed by your police force

The following data includes both Officers and Staff who have a Post Description that best matches the requested roles. Searches were completed for any roles that included Finance, Financial, Fraud, Monetary, Economic & Budgetary:

• Detective Sergeant (Fraud Triage Team) - 0.55 (FTE)
• Fraud Investigator - 4 (FTE)
• Fraud Protect Officer – 1 (FTE)
• The number of vacant positions for (a) financial investigators and (b) financial analysts in your police force

The following data is the variance in FTE between Design number for the roles and the establishment that we currently have. Please note that this does not necessarily mean that the positions are vacant or being recruited into:

• Detective Sergeant (Fraud Triage Team) – Variance is -0.55
• Fraud Investigator – Variance is -2.34
• The number of additional full time equivalent (a) financial investigators and (b) financial analysts employed by a regional organised crime unit (or similar) available for investigations led by or involving your force

Of the roles above there is currently no individual that is on secondment within a Regional Collaboration department.
