Section 61 Offences

The Performance & Analysis Department have provided the following information.

This data has been obtained from the Niche Crime database using the HO Stats Code provided below. We have manually reviewed all location fields which were blank.

1) For each of the last 3 financial years and this year to date, how many Section 61 offences ( under the Sexual Offences Act 2003), HO code 08805, have been recorded by the force?

2) For each of the last 3 financial years and this year to date, how many Section 61 offences ( under the Sexual Offences Act 2003), HO code 08805, have been recorded by the force where the location of the crime was a residential property? E.g. House/flat/apartment

3) For each of the last 3 financial years and this year to date, how many Section 61 offences ( under the Sexual Offences Act 2003), HO code 08805 have been recorded alongside any of the following:  Controlling or Coercive Behaviour in an intimate family or relationship, common assault, battery, Making a threat to kill, Assault occasioning actual bodily harm, Strangulation and suffocation, Unlawful wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm, Wounding/causing grievous bodily harm with intent, Attempted murder, domestic violence.

To answer this, we duplicated the above query and added in the relevant SC Descriptions to the search, this was a nil return.

We created a separate query to add in the Domestic Abuse flag, this resulted in one occurrence in 2023/24 that had the 088/05 stats code applied and a Domestic Abuse flag.
