I am emailing to request the number of tool thefts in your area reported for the year 2023/2024

Could you also let me know how many of these tool thefts were from a vehicle?

The Performance & Analysis Department have provided the following information.

We filtered all theft or theft from motor vehicle crimes with the property link classification of stolen and the general property type as ‘machinery or tools’, or crimes with ‘tool’ or ‘tools’ included in the occurrence summary.
