1. What is the monetary value of tools (hand tools and power tools) your police force recovered that have been stolen from vehicles, construction sites and home premises' between December 1 2024 and December 1 2025? Are you able to identify these figures relating to tradespeople?
   
   The monetary value recorded of stolen tools recovered by the Force that had been stolen from any of the above listed locations is £700. Please note only one of the five occurrences that fell into the above criteria had the value of the items stated. We are unable to confirm if this figure relates to a tradesperson as the victim’s occupation is not stated, however it does state that the tools were stolen from a “works van”.

   How many reports of tool theft has your police force received between December 1 2024 and December 1 2025 and what percentage of stolen tools have you recovered in that time period? Are you able to identify these figures relating to tradespeople?
   
   There were 122 occurrences of tool theft, seven occurrences where the tools have been recovered. (Only six were recovered by the Force and only five that were originally stolen from the locations listed in Q1).
