The Performance Analysis Department have provided the following information.
Searches were completed within Niche for crimes with the main crime groups of ‘Theft’, ‘Theft from Motor Vehicle’ or ‘Criminal Damage’. This was then narrowed down by searching in the occurrence summary and occurrence entry log for the following keywords:
- ‘EV charge’
- ‘Electric vehicle charge’
- ‘EV cable’
- ‘Electric vehicle cable’
The returned data was reviewed for relevance.
- How many incidents involving vandalism or criminal damage targeting public EV charge points were recorded by your force for each of the following years:
• 2022
• 2023
• 2024
• 2025 (to date) - How many incidents involving theft targeting public EV charge points were recorded by your force for each of the following years:
• 2022
• 2023
• 2024
• 2025 (to date)
