The Road Safety Department has provided the following information:
The sentencing guidance for Bands A, B and C does not align with the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) guidance on speed. We record via the offence codes, not the Band.
The total number of speeding offences (exceeding speed limit while driving) recorded within your jurisdiction, in the time period stated below.
A breakdown of those offences that were recorded as Band A, Band B and Band C offences.
Data presented on a monthly basis for the period from: 1 January 2024 to the most recent data you have available.
