The Performance Analysis Department has provided the following information:
We have searched the Niche Custody Universe for arrests for the following offences:
- Murder - victim one year of age or older (recordable)
- Murder - victim under one year old (recordable)
- Manslaughter (recordable)
- Corporate Manslaughter (recordable)
And offences that come under the main crime group of “Sexual offences”.
Please could you provide the statistics of the number of people who have been arrested as a result of GBH/ABH for the years 2014,2015,2016,2017,2018,2019,2020,2021,2022,2023,2024?

Information not held. ‘Recidivism’ is not an offence in iteself, but it may be something taken into consideration by the courts, thus a sentence may be given on the basis of recidivism. If this is the case, the amount of times that recidivism is considered would be information held by His Majesty’s Court and Tribunal Service.
