FPNs for number plates

I would like to know the number of Fixed Penalty Notices issued and prosecutions relating to misrepresented number plates in the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 within the jurisdiction of Dorset Police.

The Road Safety Department have provided the following information.

• 2020 - 134
• 2021 - 89
• 2022 - 67
• 2023 –109

Please note that Dorset Police issue paper Traffic Offence Reports (TOR’s) or submit Digital Traffic Offence Reports (PRONTO) which result in HORT1, VDRS, EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.

This data identifies the number of Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) and Digital Traffic Offence Report submissions processed at the Central Ticket Office where a Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty was issued for the below detailed offences:

VE94134 Drive vehicle when VRM fails to conform with regulations.

VE94135 Keep vehicle when VRM fails to conform with regulations.

The figures provided do not include:

• Cancelled offences.
• Offences detected by officers where a Traffic Offence Report or Digital Traffic Offence Reports has been issued.
