Across the whole workforce 18.2 per cent of those from Black, Asian and ethnic minority groups received a bonus compared with 16.2 per cent of individuals who are white British.
On average, officers from Black and Black mixed heritage were awarded the highest values.
When having such small numbers of people in receipt of bonus’ it can often appear that there are large differences between groups that doesn’t provide an accurate reflection. Bonus’ continue to be assessed on a case-by-case basis and are predominately based on roles where individuals are regularly dealing with distressing cases.
*Minus mean figure shows women or those from Black, Asian and ethnic minority groups were paid a higher average bonus payment than male or white British colleagues.
